Even when the carefree days seem to be in such a short supply,
And my heart is full of sorrow and my tears refuse to dry;
Even if I have more questions than I have the answers to,
Or I have no clear direction of what I’m supposed to do;
Even when the world around me reeks of selfishness and greed,
And those who have still trample on the ones who are in need;
Even if disease runs rampant and has power to destroy,
The lives of any woman, man, or little girl or boy;
Even when our circumstances force us to be apart,
From the loved ones that we hold so near and dear within our hearts;
Even when I cannot comprehend the million reasons “why”,
I will hold fast to my trust in You until the day I die. Kristin Tucker November 16, 2012
