Never did I think I’d see

A time when I could just be me

Have love that slays the deepest night

That pierces darkness with its light

Envelops me with warm embrace

Life’s sting with joy it does replace

Shelters me from storms that rage

Gives wisdom that has come with age

Assures me that it will not stray

And joins my heart to humbly pray

Brings laughter and unending fun
