From the Heart

Who can understand life’s meaning
In a world so big and wide?
Still we cling to our convictions
Feet firmly planted in our pride.
We know everything and nothing
Yet we yearn for something more
In the search for greater power
We become the things that we abhor.
The simple truth is we’ve forgotten
What we’ve been taught right from the start
That the life of man is measured
By how he lives it from the heart.
